God

We believe that there is only one God who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ the Son is equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. He was, and is God who became a man on the earth about 2000 years ago. Jesus lived a sinless life to become a perfect sacrifice for our sins. His death on the cross paid the penalty for our sins. After dying on the cross He rose again on the third day, appeared to many witnesses, and then returned to heaven -- where He intercedes on our behalf and prepares a place for us. (John 3.16-27; 1 Corinthians 15.3-4; 2 Corinthians 13.14; Hebrews 7.25)

Salvation

We believe that each person must be “born-again.” The Scriptures teach that we must believe in Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized into Christ Jesus for forgiveness, and live for Him as a new person to be saved from the consequences of our sins. Those who refuse Jesus Christ’s offer of forgiveness and new life will spend eternity separated from God, forever paying the penalty for their sins. (John 3.3-6; Acts 2.37-42; Romans 6.1-11; 1 Thessalonians 4.15-17; Revelation 20.11-15; 21.1-27)

The Bible

We believe that the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) is the inspired Scriptures from God and is our reliable guide for faith and daily living. Each Christian is to study to know God and to be trained in righteousness and equipped for good works.  (2 Timothy 3.16-17; 2 Peter 1.20-21)

The Church

We believe the Church is all Christians who have been born-again in Christ. We are His “Body” and are to be obedient in following His example and teaching and obeying the commands of the Scriptures. The local church is to encourage each other and reach out to the world with the Good News about Salvation in Christ Jesus. Each Christian is to be an active member of a local church working together to fulfill these purposes. (Matthew 28.19-20; Acts 2.42;-47; 1 Corinthians 12.12-27; Hebrews 10.24-25)
