Ninos De Baja

Nino’s de Baha has been our prefered short term mission location for many years. Our support for this mission has been, and is the taking of teams of people most years to the orphanage to work on their facilities and show love to the children. They highly appriciate the donated items we take with us as well as the labor and financial help with building materials.

phil-alison Ninos De BajaPhil and Alison Drain joined the Niños de Baja staff in August, 2005 and moved to El Porvenir to live in October, 2005. They serve as Assistant Directors coordinating the work activities of the visiting mission teams, working in community outreach programs, hosting groups, and teaching English as a Second Language classes.

Phil is retired and comes with a strong administrative background, having run his own insurance agency for more than 20 years. He is also a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to building projects and automotive maintenance.

Alison brings her passion for Mexican culture and has extensive experience working with Spanish-speaking parents and children with her background in bilingual education as a bilingual teacher, principal and district administrator for 28 years.Ninos De Baja Class

For many years they participated in mission teams serving in Mexico. They have two grown children. The Camarillo Christian Church commissioned them for service in Mexico on July 17, 2005. They provide their own support through their retirements.
